Jordan Friedman
Managing Partner
Jordan has extensive experience with property acquisition, financing, disposition and business development. He has been involved in different aspects of Real Estate for more than 10 years. Jordan began investing in residential real estate in distressed areas such as Compton, CA with personal capital in 2009.
Jordan's passion is envisioning neighborhoods of the future and making people excited about where they live. People's lives are different than 50 years ago and their neighborhoods should reflect that. Jordan wants to create homes for a wide range of people and reshape the residential landscape.
Jordan graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis with a focus in Economics in 2005, a Masters in Real Estate and Finance from NYU-Stern in 2007, and a J.D. from UCLA Law School in 2010. Jordan is a regular speaker at real estate conferences regarding investing and real estate development.
Corey Hanker
Managing Partner
Corey co-founded Fortus Partners in 2011 after spending 15 years with Goldman Sachs, UBS and the Capital Group. Corey’s responsibilities include property acquisition, financing, disposition and business development.
Corey joined UBS in 2005 where he and his team built one of the nation’s leading private wealth management groups and were recognized by Barron’s Magazine annually as one of the Top 100 Wealth Advisory Teams in the country. Previously, he was with Goldman Sachs in its Private Wealth Management Group where joined in early 2000. Corey began his career at The Capital Group Companies in 1997, holding multiple roles servicing the broker dealer community, including internal wholesaler for the American Funds.
Corey graduated from the University of Michigan in 1997 with a B.A. in Economics, which included a one year concentration at the London School of Economics. He actively serves on the Board for the Men’s Guild Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
